Psychotherapy

My approach

Therapy offers the space to discover your own resilience and inner ability to heal and grow. I hold space for you to engage with your mental health in an integrative way in line with your values, including the option to explore spiritual themes in therapy, as well as your identity and life goals.

In addition to talking through what’s on your mind, you will have opportunities to engage in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to strengthen coping skills and facilitate changes in behavior, rewiring thoughts, understanding emotions, and developing body awareness.

We will utilize therapeutic tools and coping skills to empower you with your unique strengths in your mental health journey.

Expressive Arts Therapy

Explore your creativity

When emotions feel too big or too tangled for words alone, expressive arts therapy offers another way in. Through creative modalities like art-making, music, movement, poetry, or drama, you can access and process feelings that might otherwise stay stuck. I tailor these approaches to what resonates with you - no artistic experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Walking Therapy

Movement, mindfulness, and nature

Walking-and-talk therapy gives us the chance to do our session outdoors in nature while engaging the mind and body.

The physical and psychological benefits of walk-and-talk therapy can enhance the therapeutic process. Gentle walking can strengthen the mind-body connection and stimulate the release of endorphins, which can naturally improve mood and energy levels. Being outdoors in a natural environment adds an additional layer of therapeutic value by promoting reflection, creativity, and mindfulness.

Walking therapy could be helpful if you:

  • Prefer in-person sessions and movement outdoors rather than a traditional office setting

  • Appreciate experiential or body-oriented approaches

  • Connect with nature as a therapeutic environment for exploring your journey

Where is walking therapy located?

We will meet at a park in Cambridge, MA (weather permitting), which has a walking trail. The location will be provided upon scheduling a walk-and-talk session.

I’m happy to walk in all types of weather, as long as walking conditions are safe. If inclement weather or other logistical changes come up, telehealth would be the alternate plan.
